City Guide App Concept
With this project I designed an app that would help a tourist or Montreal local find things to do around the Island of Montreal.
Attatched is a video animating/promoting the app's usage.
Users: Montreal locals and tourists visiting Montreal
User goals: Find information about events happening around the island, find new places to eat, and pay their transit fees.
UI Breakdown:
Navigation
The navigation menu allows for simple and intuitive page navigation. The use of a bar over a hamburger menu favours one handed navigation and allows page switching without breaking the attention from information.
Explore:
places, events and cities presented in a list of scroll-able rows, for users who prefer a list format.
The happening soon row presents a list of curated events pertinent to a user's interests and click data.
Transit:
Provide a digital transit card, allowing users to use Montreal's various transit options using their phone.
Maps Exploration:
Presents the same information in explore, but in a visual fashion for users who prefer a visually-focused navigation.
Social:
Holds the User's favourite places, things to do and restaurants. This also shows a user's facebook friend's favourite's as well.
Settings:
Controls the user's preferences and payment information.
